I’ve been using Plex with a Plex Pass for two years now. I’m a happy user, except for two frustrating bugs, one of which I’ll describe below.
On my Plex server, I have a library of TV shows, organized by seasons, with one file per episode. I watch these on my iPad using the Plex app.
When I start playback, the sound just comes from the iPad’s speaker. When I then take my AirPods out of the case, the sound used to automatically switch to my AirPods before the redesign of the app. That no longer happens. As soon as I take them out of the case, the sound from the speaker stops, but no sound comes from the AirPods. If I pause the player, wait a second, and then press play again, it does work. This has been happening consistently since the redesign; it’s fully reproducible.

Player version: 2025.17.0 (latest) on iPad Pro 12.9 2nd gen with iOS 17.7.8 (latest)
Hardware: Apple Airpods Pro 2
