Plex iOS app won't play, but TV and web apps will

I can stream movies at high quality on the TV through the Plex TV app with no problem.

I can stream movies at high quality on my iPhone through app.plex.tv with no problem.

The iOS app has Remote Streaming and Home Streaming set for 1.5 Mbps, 480p. It will stream a movie at 480p for 20-30 seconds, then buffer indefinitely. I have to quit the app and restart to pick up where I left off and get another few seconds of playback.

I’ve tried a lot of Settings, this is as good as it gets. Up until a few weeks ago, there weren’t any issues. Now, it’s like squeezing blood from a brick.

Having the same issue as well. iOS app has become unusable.

Same here. I had to disconnect my USB plugs for the drive I use for my library and thought that was the problem. Maybe it’s the app, though.
