I had a series set to record then delete 1 day after watching. Since then Ive bought the series on DVD and ripped the episodes to my server. Ive removed the series from my scheduled recordings.
Plex is still seeing these episodes as watched and is deleting them even though the series does not exist in my DVR section any longer.
Any idea what I can do to get Plex to forget about this fantom recording rule?
Hi - have you tried editing the show in the TV series library? - go to the tv series library and find the show, then select the edit menu (the pencil) under that, choose ‘advanced’ - there should be a ‘delete episodes after’ dropdown … see what that says.
That was it! I didnt even know those options were there for regular media. I thought it was DVR specific. After getting rid of the recording schedule the series must have retained these settings. Good to know. Thanks for your help!
