Isn´t working for me either at the moment.
I suspect it's the plexpass check. Don't want to disturb the plex folks as they're working hard at bringing plex.tv back up right now. I hear that it's getting close - so I hope not too much longer.

You hit the nail on the head, it's the same reason people have had issues when their server could not connect to the outside internet to hit plex.tv. The client needs to hit the plex servers for authentication to check if the user has plex pass.
Feature request => If a user has plex pass => authenticate him for 48 hours :-)
Renew this every time a reconnect is succesful
They better come up with a different way of authenticating users/apps, this is ridiculous.
Agreed.... server downtime should not affect my ability to watch local content. They need to fix this quickly after the servers get back up.
Hmm, ok. So plex.tv is online again, but the Xbox One app is still stuck at the loading screen (spinning circle)...
Got it working again by reinstalling the app and removing my Xbox one from "Devices" (got added again after app started successfully)

This worked for me also.
I just reinstalled the app and then it worked.

PLEASE fix this in the next release.
It cannot be that the app gets stuck in a mode where even a reboot does not fix the problem but reinstalling does !

I did not have to reinstall, it just started working again.
Not sure how much time after the site was back up, I did not wait for it ;)
So have Plex employees commented on this and the possibility of changing the way the app is authorized in the future so this doesn't happen again?
this always happens on PHT (plexpass releases only) so I am sure once this XB1 app is released to general public it will not stop working when plex.tv auth fails.
