Is there any way to get a clean and nice dashboard in Plex?
Only thing I have been able to do is to remove recently added movies/series.
Why so many options in the left menu that could be hidden, example:
-Playlists under Librabries
-Plugins under Online Content
The main dashboard should show my movies or series, not some discovery thing.
For series, why is there a play-button on the art cover when Plex knows it have muliple episodes?
It always play the first episode, remove the play-button please.
Have I missed anything in the settings that can make a good dashboard?
Ok, so here it how it looks when I open Plex Player (not from a web browser) with Windows 10.
Shows too much buttons on the sidebar and on top. Also play-button on the cover art.
When entering a serie, play-button is still on the cover art.
Play-button on each episode is fine, but why does it only show one episode per line? Would be nice to have like the first or second pictures, few cover arts per line, thats how it is on Plex Media Server when opening from my Synology NAS.
There should be a chapter/next-button on the player, only 10/30sec back/fordward is there and next episode-button. To go to next chapter, its extra step by pressing the button where my arrow/hand is on the picture.
I tried enabling the new Plex experience, and it looks like this (little better than the first picture i attached).
It just the sidebar that looks better, everything else is pretty much the same.
To have a nice and clean Plex, the solution is to press the “Enter TV Layout”-button on top.
It will look like this (picture 1 & 2), without any play-buttons on the art covers.
But the issue is with the chapter selection, its on the bottom, see picture 3.
After pressing down, it looks like in picture 4, how it should be.
Also repeat and shuffle-buttons should not be visible on the menu, maybe its good for music but not for videos, move it into options menu instead.
A clean and simple player is what it should look like, Play, Pause/Stop, Back/Next Chapter/Track, Exit-buttons is all it needs, rest could be moved into one option-button.
For now, I don’t know if I will buy lifetime pass in the near future, maybe if Plex solve these minor issues or the price gets lower, then Im willing to try and test and reports all issues I find.

One of our values on our company is “Keep It Simple”, should have that in Plex too.
After using Plex for some weeks now, im not really impressed of Plex.
This big window that cover half of the screen, when choosing the options is bugging me, why so big? (see last 2 pictures above)
