My Android TV App wasn’t finding a lot of my TV shows on my computer, so I renamed them as per the sites instruction. It made things worse.
Now the Win10 Server browser tab (FireFox) is identifying all the episodes of Anime series as “Cowboy Bebop” (I don’t actually have any episodes of that), and downloading thumbnails of “Cowboy Bebop”, which then my Android TV App sees and overwrites the real show episodes with a completely screwed-up intro of “Cowboy Bebop”. I’ve tried removing the folders, and adding them to libraries in different configurations, but it always does the same
The same thing is happening with my downloaded non-cartoon TV shows. They’re being identified as episodes of “A Current Affair” and being replaced by corrupted “thumbnails” of “A Current Afair”.
If you modify your directory structure or file names, you will need to Plex Dance the shows. This clears the incorrect information out of the Plex database.
Also, make sure you have the files in a “TV Show” library, not “Movies” or “Other Videos.” If in the wrong library type, Plex will definitely have trouble correctly identifying the shows.
Note that Plex matches show & episode names against TheTVDB.com. Use the same show name, etc for best results.
As I stated, I renamed and restructured the directory structure of my video files as stated in the links you gave already; that’s what caused this problem.
