Hello, my Plex has been working perfectly with my iMac until suddenly, I got offline. I checked my hard drives and internet connection and there was nothing out of the ordinary.
As of now, I can’t login to Plex with my username and password UNLESS I’m connected to my Nord VPN (which I don’t want to be). When I disconnect from my VPN, the page refreshes and says “Plex is not reachable. Make sure your server has an internet connection and any firewalls or other programs are set to allow access.” This has something to do with my AT&T setup (although I didn’t tweak anything). Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!
I never use my VPN when I’m on Plex. I just wanted to test it when I lost connection to see if I could login (and it worked). But when I originally signed up and started using Plex, I never had a VPN so it was never initially using the VPN IP address.
I tried your steps but alas, it’s still not working. I have a feeling it has to do with AT&T. I went back to factory setting and forwarded my port to 34200. I would use the VPN but it’s a Nord and that doesn’t allow any remote access for other users.
I appreciate the help. Let me know if there are any other ideas. Thanks!
I am 99% sure the issue is that your WAN IPv4 address is in the 172.0.0.0/12 space and there is currently a routing issue with that somewhere on the backbones between AT&T, Level 3.
This morning I downloaded the Version 1.15.2.793 and now everything is working! Miraculous! Thank you so much for the update and for all of the help! Hope this helps everyone else.
The issue was resolved for AT&T customers earlier this morning. It was not likely upgrading to 1.15.2.793 that solved your issue. That was likely coincidental.
