I’m not sure what happened but after years of using Plex without problems, it started not recognizing new files.
Specifically, I retagged thousands of files in one library and ran a scan in Plex, which got caught in a loop for several days before I cancelled it. Several further attempts kept getting the same result. When I deleted the library and created a new one to scan the same directories, Plex would recognize about 30 files before getting stuck in the same loop as before.
Another music library I was running (for a different and much larger directory), also no longer discovers new or edited music files.
I’ve tried cleaning bundles, emptying trash, optimizing the db, and then rescanning the libararies; I’ve tried deleting the libraries and creating new ones to scan the same directories. Neither solution has worked.
Can anybody suggest a solution that might work?
