Recently I updated my NAS with larger hard drives. I simply removed the old ones and put in the new ones, configured them to SHR(Synology Hybrid Raid) and transferred all my files back. Plex is installed on my Windows desktop and I use a Synology Diskstation. After transferring all the files back, Plex scanned everything and on my Television shows it found and sorted everything accurately using TVDB. For movie files, I instructed it to use “The Movie Database” agent and English. However, it appears to be using “Plex Movie” and automatically selecting the very first language option, which is “Bahasa Indonesia”. I’ve attempted to go through the settings and force it to use The Movie Database but it simply will not. If I pick an individual file and “unmatch” then “match”, choosing The Movie Database and English options, it will find it in the search that comes up, I can click the name of the movie and then nothing happens. It won’t update the poster or information. In the poster section for each movie, there’s about 12-15 posters to me. The first 3-4 are either really bad English posters with tiny title text or the section at the bottom with all the director and actors listed like you see in large movie posters and then the rest are all foreign language versions of the poster. I’ve exited the Plex Server app that’s running on my PC and restarted it. I’ve rebooted my NAS. I’ve exhaustively tried to change all the settings within Plex that might make a difference and nothing changes anything. It’s incredibly frustrating, but maybe someone has run into this problem and has a fix. If you’ve read all this so far, thank you for your time.
