Bug: Language defaults to Dansk when choosing The Movie Database for Fix Match

Server Version#: 1.20.0.3133
Player Version#: 4.34.4

I’m fairly sure PMS didn’t do this before the latest scanner update, but whenever I select “The Movie Database” from the search options when fixing a match, the language always defaults to “Dansk” instead of my chosen language of English.

I first experienced this behaviour with 1.20.0.3125, and then uopdated to the latest version and the issue is still there.

I’m fairly sure that the issue wasn’t there pre 1.20.0.3125.

Edit: spelling

Thanks for report. I think it is just because the new agent has the variations of English (US, UK, Australia, Canada) and since the old agents don’t have that to select it is defaulting to whatever is first in the list for that older agent.

I had this problem as well but was able to figure it out.

Now I seem to have an issue where the default language for the Plex Movie agent is set to Bahasa Indonesia and I can’t seem to find a way to change this default. The only way I know this is the default is when I go to fix a match and use the Plex Movie agent for the search. When I go to Agents -> Movies -> Plex Movie, clicking the gear does not bring up any options.

I believe this is also causing some issues with me being able to download the correct subtitles for my movies. I have to now do it manually.

You can edit the default language for a “Plex Movie” library within the per-library settings. Edit the library itself, General tab.

Everything, everywhere is set to United States and English. It’s just when I go to search for a better match, it defaults to Bahasa Indonesia. This does not appear anywhere in any of my settings. Not the library settings, nor the agent settings.

Match and Fix Match, for me, follow the language selected in the Library.

I wonder if you change to a different language in the Library & save, do you then see Match/Fix Match/Search using that newly saved setting?

I definitely think it’s suspicious that it’s defaulting to the first choice in the list. :-/

I did that too. I went and changed my language and country on nearly every setting and then changed it back, restarted the server and still it defaults to Bahasa Indonesia. This started after the update before last I think.

The only way I could think to fix it doesn’t seem to work. I would think that this setting would be under agents, plex movie but when I click on the gear, a window pops up but there are no settings to adjust.

The new agent doesn’t have any settings there. I think it’s confusing there’s still the button and no explanatory text. :-/

They’re in Settings -> Manage -> Libraries -> (Library) -> Edit. We’re talking about the same thing, right?

I just went and changed my library setting to Spanish and guess which language still appears for the new Plex Movie Agent. Bahasa Indonesia.

Everything else changed to Spanish except the Plex Movie agent.

They say it takes just 5 minutes a day …

Do you have multiple libraries? Do you see the same thing if you create an additional library as a test?

I just created a new Movie library and it still defaults to Bahasa Indonesia.

I had the same experience. All language settings set to English, but Fix Match always defaults to Bahasa Indonesia.

Updating from the legacy Plex Movie agent to the new Plex Movie agent seems to have resolved the issue. I haven’t checked every movie across all my libraries, but it is a definite improvement.
