About once a month I get the above error. If I go into the FireTV settings, clear the plex cache and force quit, it starts right up. Any idea what could be happening?

From what I’ve found through experimentation, it seems to happen when Plex is killed by the OS when running in the background, i.e. when you leave Plex through the home button on your remote, rather than backing out and exiting with the back arrow button. If you exit Plex with the back arrow button with the Do you want to exit Plex prompt, then the connection to your Plex server is closed properly and Plex will launch normally next time.
Seems reasonable to me. I’m going to have everyone start doing that. I suppose it would be better if it just worked right all the time.
