Plex keeps accessing the drive

Hi. After installing Plex on my home computer the light on the hardrive that has my movie library will show activity for quite a long time. I think that I have not authorized any remote access. What can this be? TIA

Plex automatically creating thumbnail video previews, chapter thumbnails, and music loudness data.

There is also a deep analysis of the whole file performed at night (beside a lot of other tasks) to determine it’s actual, precise bandwidth requirements for streaming it.

So hardware activity after adding media is normal, particularly if there was a lot of video added, or a whole music library was just created.
