I have been using Plex for a few months now and it’s great. I have upgraded my DSM to 7.0 with no issues aswell. Since a few days there are issues with buffering. It keeps on buffering and make it practically unable to play/stream files. I tried updating my Plex, but the DSM 7.0 Package Center keeps telling me that the file structure of the update is invalid.
Edit: I just succesfully updated to Plex Server Version 1.21.1.3906.
You cannot download DSM 7 packages from our main page.
DSM 7 Preview is out of sync with normal software releases - deliberately.
Download links are posted in the DSM 7 Preview thread.
Looking at your logs show subtitles. It also looks like it’s burning those subtitles which is going to be very hard on the CPU.
What happens when you disable subtitles or play something without them – keeping in mind the CPU is only rated for about 20 Mbps of CPU-based transcoding for H.264 (HEVC will kill it)
