Server Version#: 4.48.1
Player Version#: TCL tv won’t update any further atm.
I have the logs, but its a file with about 40 text documents so I do not know what you need.
Plex keeps crashing. Multiple playback errors. Thats pretty much what it says on the TV. Once it does it again I will get a picture. It has been doing this for months, I do pay for plex pass for the year.
Its getting really annoying, as it stops working about 15 times through a movie. And I can not just play the movie back instantly, I have to wait a few minutes or it will just crash again.
Plex never used to crash, it wasn’t until some wise guy decided to go in there and update some stuff. Now its all down hill.
Uninstall Plex media server… then install version 1.20.1.3252… start Plex media server… then you can uninstall and install the newest version and crashs will stop… did it and worked for me.
Well, I have not had any issues for a little while. But I have kinda quit casting to the tvs with the apps. And have just been using the tv in my boy’s room with Chromecast. But I have tried a few here and there, and it seems like the fix was to disable hardware transcoding. So I believe the issue to be hardware, I am going to be building a plex server in the next few months. I currently have 40TB in raw brand new storage, but due to video card manufacturers being idiots and the Nvidia 30 series and the AMD 6000 series being out of stock it has slowed the progress of building this server. And plus coin miners and ■■■■ ■■■■■ who buy just to mark up.
I could go with a 20’s, but they are selling for what the MSRP of the 30’s is supposed to be. And I’d say come April the cards will be back in stock and decently available. So at that point, I will have a better option, you will have the 30’s available to buy. And then all the people who currently have been buying 20’s because they can not get the 20’s will be offloading them left and right at low prices once the 30’s are readily available. There is a Titan X I found yesterday going for $350 right now, it would work. But I am trying to build a system that can handle 4 4k streams at once. So I belive I am going to get the 3080, and if it will not gut it then either the 3090 or the RTX 8000.
The last time I bought a brand new card when they game out was the 8800GTS and still then I did not buy the top of the line. And I have been patient for years and quit gaming because I could no longer game at max res. Well not his time. This time I will be able to game and transcoding 4k content.
It will be interesting to try and play 4k content and game. I will probably have to 100% watercool the card. And I am thinking I will go with the Ryzen 3900x.
