Plex keeps losing the server?

This may be the wrong home for this BUT:-
I have a DS416 with DSM 7.2 64551 running on a Mac Mini M2 under Sequoia 5.1.1 using SMB.
Plex is Version 4.129.1

I use a 1 gigabit Ethernet (Cat 6) and a TP-Link Archer VR2800 Router.
I’m not sure which component (if any) is causing Plex to keep dropping out; I may have to wait 2-3 minutes to re-establish connection (I assume it is a server drop because this also happens with access to other servers) It may or may not recur,
OR it occasionally claims that my WiFi (??!!) is too slow for the media.
Historically this has happened but nowhere near as severely.

Dilemna - the finger seems to point at the Sequoia OS upgrade but I can’t prove it.
I am not a “newbie” but neither am I technically competent enough to analyse this adequately.
Can any one of the any help here please,
My wife and I have been thinking of going back to DVDs…
