Server Version#: 1.21.3.4014
Player Version#: 4.51.1
Hello
I use PMS on Mac Mini (2018) with Big Sur 11.2
upgraded to latest version yesterday night Version 1.21.3.4014
I am experiencing a systematic challenge to access my server a while after starting.
At first, everything goes, then when I start to update some files (e.g. renaming to allow for good match of metadata), I am not able to access the server anymore (locally, directly on the same machine where the server is located)
This starts after a while, timing when this kicks in is not always consistent.
When it starts, it seems the server is slowing down and displays following behaviors:
1/ http://127.0.0.1:32400/web: does not load
2/ http://192.168.1.89:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/server/e0f283d6b47219ac1ed5162e372396aa18d36896/settings/library shows: server settings are unavailable
3/ Plex icon in status bar shows the Mac OS spinning wheel (as if stuck)
4/ Plex activity icon in plex app is also spinning, seems stuck on downloading metadata
5/ After I kill the PMS app via activity monitor and restart it, it goes well for a while, then the access problem starts again.
After checking a few files names to improve matching success, I start to get messages as
The server “Mac Mini Crozet” does not allow secure connections
Thanks after a while retrying to connect to the server it comes back, then slows down again…
Then I have to either kill PMS or restart the Mac Mini… until next time…
To my knowledge, the only “special” item I have vs standard installation is that I have moved the /Users/sondophan/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server folder to an external USB3 HDD because my Main SSD is too small. I did this via a Symlink as found in other posts.
I have gone through all the checks listed in this post without success:
I also reinstalled PMS from scratch (hence the need now to rematch some movies…)
What should I do next?
Thanks
