I would suggest that the plex app for android should be able to be a launcher. So it would autostart at boot and a press on the home button would return to plex.
I could see this as useful, but if you use Tasker for Android, you could easilly implement a task on boot to launch the app and another that if Plex isn't on focus, to start it.
That might be problematic though... You might want to be able to do other things than kist plex on that device...
Chromecast launchers have ads and bloat. If Plex created their own TV launcher they could cut out the middle service and help users find content across streaming services like they already do within the Plex app.
