Plex kills audio for all apps on Chromecast with Google TV

Frequently, exiting Plex seems to kill all audio output on my Chromecast with Google TV. It happens most often if I use the back button to exit Plex without first stopping media playback.

After exiting Plex, if I start another app (i.e. Youtube) and play any media, there’s no audio.

If I return to Plex, play something, then immediately stop it, and switch back to Youtube, everything works fine again. It’s like Plex is “stealing” or killing the audio output somewhat, even after it’s exiting.

Same issue here. I tend to use the Chromecast ‘Home’ button rather than the back button but the end result is the same. Need to try your workaround as currently the only solution for me seems to be rebooting the CCast.
