Plex kills my IPTV stream in around 4 minutes

I set up ErsatzTV recently in order to make my own channels. Everything works more or less, but the stream cuts out after around 4 minutes. I’ve checked the logs and Plex is terminating the stream.

edit relevant log attached. Let me know if you need more, but I included the part where it decides the stream is idle and kills the job. For reference, ErsatzTV is running locally on the same server, and I’m watching the stream while it dies

Did you try another client such as Roku or Android?

Does the session show up in the dashboard? If so can you post a screenshot of the session while its playing/active.

it does show up in the dashboard - but the main thing is that Plex is killing the process for some reason. I could possibly look into that tomorrow, but I don’t understand the train of thought currently.

One thought is, dashboard does show that it’s recording the content. I obviously don’t want or need that, I just want to stream, since a recording would be a copy of a local file. But as to why Plex is killing the process, I’m not sure.

Why do you think that’s what’s happening? What does Ersatz say?

ErsatzTV logs show nothing - just that the client has terminated the stream, and Plex confirms that.

I understand the dropdown shows the session recording. This is normal. I’m specifically talking about the items that pop up under Now Playing. You should have a session being displayed there right above the bandwidth graph…

I’ll send a screenshot when I’m next in front of the server - I’ve tried on my bedroom PC which works fine, and on my phone (android) .

Ok, well I have changed nothing, and now it seems to be working correctly. The one difference since last night is that the EPG wasn’t working then, and it now is. Again I haven’t changed anything, so IDK if they’re linked or not
