Plex LG doesn't save settings

Hi all,

In the above setup I can’t seem to get the settings to stick. Every time I restart the TV or if I close the app the settings revert to something I set ages ago. Anybody got an idea of how to fix it?

This includes anything in the settings are or in the “edit list” categories.

What I would be trying.

  1. Un install app
  2. Remove the LG client from your Server’s Authorised Devices
  3. re start TV from wall
  4. Install LG app again
  5. Link TV to your account
  6. Correct your LG app settings including adding your Server LAN IP address and port to Manual Servers ( Port Normally 32400)

The following may not be needed.
Reserve/Static Lease for the TV and Server LAN IP address in your router. Add your Subnet Mask to PLEX server Network settings/ List of IP addresses and networks are allowed without Authorization

I would suggest adding your TV model and Server version to this discussion and confirm your using UNO preview.

Server on Windows: 1.16.3.1402

TV: LG B8
WebOS: 04.10.65 (newest for me)
Client on TV: 3.109.1

I have Uno since… Tuesday or something like that and problems are since then.

Which model LG and Server version please

web os 4.1.0 (though elsewehere it says sw version 4.10.55)
plex for lg 3.109.1

Every time I switch on TV have to

pick preferred server
pick libraries to show

This is particularly annoying as there are libraries that I would rather not be having appear in front of kids

I’ve recently started experiencing the same behaviour on my LG B8. Every time I run the app I get the option of my three user profiles, but once a user is selected I have to re-run the onboarding process (this is true for all users), selecting a server and which libraries to pin. Then, of course, I have to go through and pin all the additional servers and libraries I want.

All other options seem to be sticking, such as subtitle and audio prefs, it’s just the server/library stuff that’s a pita.

LG app version 4.1.1 and latest version of PMS.

I would be tempted to re install the LG Plex app and power off from the wall.

reinstalling from scratch seems to be the only option to fix it…

lately I have also had an issue where my pin doesn’t allow me to login, and also when I remove the pin I have issues logging in sometimes and have to run a power cycle plus reinstall… quite annoying
