Won't accept changes in settling menu in Plex app after update

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112
Player Version#: 2.2.0 (Lates from LG WebOS)

Hi,

When I started the Plex app on my LG OLED TV (OLED55C8PLA) I’m unable to login to my account. After I have re-linked it and pressed “Got it!” -button the loading icon just keeps spinning for 5-10 minutes and then I’m logged in.
While I’m logged in and I want to change some settings in the Settings meny, those settings doesn’t get saved. E.g. changing the time format from 12h to 24h.

If I exit the app (via powering the TV off or changing app) I have to re-link/re-login again.

I’ve reinstalled the app 2 times from the app store and also left my TV powerless for a few minutes after the uninstallation but that haven’t solved the problem.

Same here: LG OLED, none of the settings I change get saved. Also opting out of the preview version does not work, so I cannot go back to the stable version!

I tried also to leave the Beta (that I never signed-up for) in the app but that just rested the app and I had to re-login again.
It’s a loop >.>

@Zeew @theo_mattaar_com We are doing some investigation into this internally, but the quickest way to get the app back to a usable state would be to do a factory reset on the TV. Sadly uninstalling the Plex app on a LG TV does not fully clear out the data.

Just a heads up, factory resetting the TV will uninstall your other apps and any other settings you have made changes to.

Hi @LeiFaWing,
Okey, thank you!
And I suppose you’ll let us know in someway when it should be fixed?

Thanks for the tips but I had my TV calibrate so I don’t want to factory reset it.

Factory reset does not seem necessary. I unplugged my TV (LG 55B8) from the mains for a minute or two, then plugged in again. Now my setting changes (subtitle size to tiny) are kept!
