STOP!!!

  1. Stop the plex app you’ve installed
  2. Rename that share BACK to Plex!!!
  3. Uninstall + KEEP (if you have the DSM 7 app installed) to preserve your metadata.

Bottom line: You can’t bypass the process because DSM 7 placed severe limits on apps unless you fully understand how DSM 7’s new SDK works and what was implemented.
