For some reason no matter what when I scroll anywhere past C in my library’s I get this all the time and its utterly annoying and I can not stop it, I have tested on 3 browsers all the same.
Anyone got any ideas?
I have the same issue and I even tried to update to the newest version and still happens.
Least I’m not alone with this issue, but its annoying as all hell
We’ve recently fixed a similar issue. Are you able to reproduce on https://app.plex.tv?
Yep Still happens
Thanks for checking. I’m not able to reproduce this but I’ll keep an eye out!
Can get a fresh vid and logs if that helps?
We unfortunately don’t have any logging in that area that would help diagnose the issue.
The video you have provided is great. The best thing is for me to figure out how to reproduce it. So any further information you can provide that you think might be relevant would be welcome.
Does it only happen during certain server activity? I’ve tried kicking off a scan / play back media but still am unable to reproduce what is seen in your video.
Nope it’s all the time, I can get down to E before it happens, not sure if it’s due to the volume of media in that library is a facture just over 2k?
Happens more when viewing via localhost but when using app.plex it is still there however it’s about every 15 seconds.
Ok got a little more info if it helps.
It only happens on my TV Library all others are fine, after a server restart it doesn’t happen at all when connecting using localhost or my IP, but will happen via app.plex.tv but only after scrolling down to E, if I click E from the right side to take me directly to it it doesn’t happen until I scroll maybe 2 full pages but again like I mentioned earlier its far less frequent then in the clip from other day.
That is interesting information, thank you!
I don’t expect this to work, but it’s worth a shot. Does it continue after you use the “Optimize Database” troubleshooting command?
Regardless I’ll keep an eye out to see if I can discover steps to reproduce.
Oh I think that did it as DB optimization ran last night and I have just gone and scrolled up and down the library and it doesn’t seem to be doing it
Good to hear! Let us know if the issue comes back
will do, However is it normal for Plex to become completely unresponsive when a DB Optimization is in progress?
