Plex Library - Reinstall

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

i have set up plex a few times and added PlexPass to an email address I have been using to set up my plex in my home lab.

Trying to set up plex on QNAP today, im finding out I can no longer access local servers or add media. I dont want to try to delete my account since I have purchased a PlexPass but I cant seem to find anything to get to any local server settings. I’ve even reinstalled the docker container station plex on qnap and as soon as I log in, i get the general web interface and no abilities to get to the local plex host server settings.

what am I doing wrong?

In order to complete the setup you need to open your Plex Media Server through its local IP, e.g. using http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web. This will bring up a wizard/dialog where you can name your server and link it to your Plex account (as well as creating your first libraries).

Once you “claimed” your server (=linked it to your Plex Media Account), you’ll also be able to access it from other Plex apps or via http://app.plex.tv/desktop.

With a container you might have mixed up some of its config, e.g. not properly claiming it through the build file or configuring it to be on its own network (in which case you cannot access it “locally” → from within the same subnet, to finish the setup).

Something is still missing. When I 1st boot the new container, I sign in with my gmail email and it takes me right to the normal plex website bypassing any setup. on the left I see the online/streaming stuff and no options in the settings to get to local settings. - Almost like I need my plex account reset

No

Have you reviewed the container setup regarding CLAIM_TOKEN and network mode?

yes. Even went as far as removing and rebuilding different builds of the Plex container.
