Plex Live TV/DVR + QNAP NAS + HDHomeRun Duo

Hello All, I was running Plex on a Linux PC with HD HomeRun for Live TV/DVR. All was well.

I decided to move Plex to a NAS to free up the PC. I decided to rebuild from scratch.

I bought and set up a QNAP TS-253A and got Plex running on it with no issues. Music and Movies play without issue.

I clicked “Live TV & DVR” in settings to set up that and Plex recognized the tuner and displayed its IP and the broadcast channels available. Unfortunately, I cannot proceed past that point as the “CONTINUE” button is greyed out. The “SCAN CHANNELS” button is greyed as well.

I can ping the HDHomeRun from the QNAP so network connectivity is not the issue. There are no errors displayed. Does anyone have an idea how to get past this?

I guess Murphy’s Law kicked in here - a few minutes after you reach out for help, you figure it out yourself.

Just in case others have the same issue, I shut down Plex on the old PC and I rebooted the QNAP (which restarted Plex). After that I was able to set up the DVR.
