I added a turner, and I can see the program guide but I can’t watch live TV on anything. Tried the Android app, web client, and web client on Android
Actually in the Android app I can’t even see the program guide.
What is the Plex server version and what is the android plex client version you have?
You need Android 6.3.x or above and PMS version 1.8.x or above
I have android 7.0
I installed the plex client last night 6.2.1
Plex server is 1.8.0
What tuner are you using? Is it on the approved equipment list?
You need 6.3.x for live tv on android mobile client.
I am using the Xbox one adapter. 6.3 is not an option, is that in beta?

It is not in beta any longer.
6.3.x may not have made it to your Google PlayStore yet. It generally has a stagger rolls out

Restart the app. Click on the menu icon. There should be an item called “program data” there. Click on it go in “now” and select the show you want to watch.
I’ve just finish the install of my cable-cut setup, 1 Nvidia Shield TV Pro (Plex server 1.8.1.4139) and 1 Nvidia Shield TV (Plex client 6.4.1.1644) along with a HD-Homerun Extend tuner. All seems to work OK with my personal media but when it comes to Live-TV, I can see the local channel lineup on the Plex webapp but that’s it. The shields have no live tv channels at all.
PS: I do have a Plex Pass…
Other than setting up the DVR, do I need to do anything else to enable this feature on my NVST’s ???
No there is nothing else to do. Normally, when using the down arrow, you should be able to get to the “live Tv” section. Select program guide. Select a show. You should have a “watch” button.
If you don’t get that, can you post some screenshots of what you see on the Shield plex client?
@thehose you are not logging into a user other than the default user account are you? live tv and user accounts does not work yet.
no just with my only plex account.
EDIT: as I remember, I did not login to the shields, just enter the code into the plex.tv/link web page. Is that the same as a login ?
EDIT: well I found out that there are two server definitions (different names) in my shield pro. One works with live-tv the other does not. I’m going to reset that shield to factory defaults and re-install the plex server clean. I’ll update after that…
Well sure enough, after the Nvidia Shield TV enema, which was a long process on the Pro (500g) model, I reinstalled the server, update to latest version and LIVE-TV is now showing on both NVST’s.
I did have to re-start the NVST running the Plex client, in order to get it to re-authenticate with the server and show the Live-TV menu choice.
