Server Version#: ???
Player Version#: v.1.108.1.307-dd5b87aa
I just replaced my Plex.app to this latest version and now it’s hosed. I launch but if I click almost anything it crashes. Not cool and I have a paid subscription. Where is Plex support? My server is remote on ReadyNAS. I am unable to upgrade my ReadyNas Plex Server after NetGear decided to remove easy server app upgrades.
Thanks,
Ted
What host OS are you running the player on (Linux, macOS, or Windows)?
What is your server version? You can find it in the web app at Settings → [Select Server Name] → General. Note that there are two “General” sections in the sidebar; you want the second one.
I was able to test version 1.108 on Linux and macOS and didn’t experience any crashes. But I’m running against up-to-date servers on the latest beta at this time (1.41.5.9522). So it’s probably not apples-to-apples. I don’t have easy access to a Windows-based system to test that client at the moment.
It might be helpful to collect debug logs from the player after a crash, if you can. If you navigate to Settings → [Plex for X] → Debug, you can set the debug level to “Enabled.” Then, reproduce the crash. Afterward, restart and navigate back to that section and collect the logs via the link. It’s possible they might contain some PII, so you might want to cleanse them before uploading.
