Here you go…

Me too. I recently upgraded to Synology’s DSM7 and installed a new download of Plex, which has been anything but clear. Does this message "() mean “it’s working torebuild your libraries etc and will eventually finish” or "tough luck, it’s just stuck in a rut and won’t be back"£?

Means just that, Its running some database upgrades/tasks and needs some time to finish the process. On most systems it should resolve itself in less than 30 minutes.

So, not two or three days, then?

Most likely not, unless your drives are nearly full and/or your media collection is insanely extensive.

Thank you Otto. I will just leave my PC/NAS to talk for a few more hours.
I’m afraid I find it beyond annoying that Synology/Plex talk to each other so poorly. What is the point of complex upgrade/installation processes that don’t tackle the whole job?
