I get the same massage, but after 10-20 Seconds was my Server Back without Problems.

Maybe you try again.

As per the actual message… you get to see this while the server is processing the update. In this particular case, the upgrade to PMS 1.40.0 contains a significant amount of updates to the database structure. Depending on the size of your database and how powerful you server is, this might take a moment.

From the release announcement:

Please also be patient when updating to this version if you have a very large database and allow the upgrade process to finish.

So How long am I going to wait for this!
Because I’ve been waiting for over an hour, and I’m not believing in miracles here!

You’re looking at an entirely different situation

Most likely, Mine is after the update and it nuked my library’s completely, so I just reverted back to old ver.

so after waiting a few more hours and another reboot of the NAS, it is working again. I guess patience is a virtue.

My server completely disappeared after the upgrade. The plex.tv connection is stuck on connecting. And hitting it directly on 32400 doesn’t load either.

I am running QuTS hero h5.1.5.2647 if that helps.

read my post from yesterday in here. I had the same thing. You just download PlexDBRepair from Chuck on these forums from Github and it fixes it.

Just installed on a QNAP. It’s been “Plex Media Server is currently running startup maintenance tasks” for the last 20 minutes. I guess I’ll wait overnight and then restart the server.
