Server Version#: 1.32.0.6865 (running on Windows 10 Build 19045 as a Hyper-V VM - Host OS is Windows Server 2022 Build 20348)
Player Version#: 4.104.2 (Plex Web running on Chrome Version 111.0.5563.147, Windows 11 Build 22621)
Storage is directly attached to the Host running Windows Server 2022 and communicates with the VMs via a Hyper-V internal network switch (only allowing communication between the host and the VMs to access the media)
As of the last few releases I have noticed issues with media not playing, or not being able to browse media via the web interface, latest Plex App on an Nvidia Shield TV Pro, Apple TV 4K while media scanning on the server is occurring.
Below are my settings related to scanning:
I use a service that uses the Plex API to trigger a scan for the specific TV Show directory when a file is added, changed or deleted.
During my troubleshooting process (before determining that it seems to be scanning causing the issues), I changed the following settings to their current values as shown in the screenshot below:
Previously, they were set to “as a scheduled task and when media is added”; however, I disabled them entirely hoping that was what was causing the issues.
I hope my attached logs are useful and that this is indeed what is causing issues (or at least that there is something conclusive for us out of the logs). Debug logs were enabled and Verbose logs were disabled while I replicated the issue, tried to play media (it did not) and tried navigating to a show on that server/library - this would result in saying “Something went wrong” as shown in the screenshot below:
Please let me know if you need anymore information.
Thanks!
