Out of nowhere the Plex apps on our TV and laptops are freezing and now stuttering.
I have the media on a NAS but Plex running on my desktop. More powerful and running the app off the NAS had worse performance.
I’ve restarted my Windows box.
I’ve repaired the Plex app on my desktop.
I’ve seen some pots suggesting the latest update to Windows 10 may not jive with Plex well, but before I reinstall the server piece I’d like to know if there’s any truth to that and/or if there are any things I can investigate.
Also, for my own sanity, I’ve signed up for Plex Pass and believe that when I am on the same home network as my Plex Server, it’s not going up to the web and streaming online. It’s going over my network to get the data on a faster connection instead of up and back. Is that correct? (If so, I have no idea why this would be choppy, which is what led me to believe it was the server as noth our new Samsung TV and my HP laptop are having sudden issues).
