Does the app itself freeze and become unresponsive (requiring you to force quit the app) or can you exit back a page after the movie has frozen with no issue?
No, the app seems to be OK. I can exit BACK to the home screen on the app.
However, the app has become very sensitive to finding the Plex media server. It often gives me the error cannot find Plex media server, Go Home or Retry. I’ve done this many times failing which I have uninstalled/reinstalled both the XBOX One app AND the Plex Media Server(on windows 10).
In spite of this, the freezing occurred again, freezes, lets go, freezes again etc.
When you say freezing do you mean stuttering? Where the video stops for a (milli)second or two and then continues?
With the fact that the app is having difficulties connecting to your server, It sounds like you are encountering network issues. Perhaps your router is dropping packets or acting flakey when your server and the app are communicating.
Also, my iOS and Apple TV client’s don’t experience stuttering, which means it probably has nothing to do with my router and is related to the plex Xbox one client or so one would imagine
@HemantSharma Do you have your Xbox One connected to your router wirelessly? If so could you try a wired connection to see if that helps? Other report of stuttering we’ve seen are usually solved by using a wired connection, as the Xbox One can sometimes be starved of data when streaming over a wireless network.
