After the latest update I noticed that my Plex Media Player on windows 10 is no longer inside a regular “window” when not in full screen. Effectively making non-fullscreen mode just full screen with the windows taskbar visible. This means I can no longer resize and drag the window or easily minimise and close from the top corner buttons. This seems like a really strange and unnecessary change and I’m wondering if there is a setting where I can return this functionality.
I’ve encountered this before where it sort of gets “stuck” in fullscreen mode, even outside “tv fullscreen.” You should be able to exit or enter fullscreen using the “double arrows” icon to the left of the status button. However, I had it get stuck so that this button no longer did anything. To fix this I had to edit the config file located at %localappdata%\PlexMediaPlayer\plexmediaplayer.conf, and change the “fullscreen” setting to “false.” Was then able to control through the UI as normal.
I had a look at the file and fullscreen is already set to false.
