Unable to resize or drag the Plex Media Player window

Hi,

Per the title, I’ve somehow managed to lose the ability to interact with the PMP window in any way. On Windows 10.

It doesn’t seem to have the standard Windows frame around it anymore. It does not respond to winkey+arrow commands. The only way I can move it is the Taskbar–>hover PMP–>right-click preview popup---->Move—>arrow keys. All other options in that menu such as resize, restore etc are greyed out.

In the app, clicking full screen simple centers the window on my 1080p secondary monitor. Clicking exit fullscreen seems to have no effect. Alt-enter and \ behave the same way.

Re-installation of the application has also not changed this state.

Anyone have any idea how to make it behave like a window again?

Rats! Just encountered the same problem and hoped there was a fix. has no one else had this problem?

Press on F11 repeatedly, with 2 seconds in between.

Old thread, but this has happened to me a few times recently on Windows 10. (annoying!)
The fix is to hold down the Windows key and then press one of the arrow keys.

How is such a simple function still not working? I thought maybe it was because I’m using a 1440p screen, but after searching it seems a lot of people see this. Its pretty aggravating.

On the home screen, wobble with your mouse.
You’ll see two additional icons appearing at the top, somewhere in the middle or right from the middle.
Click on the icon to leave the full-screen mode.

same issue here for the last 3 or 4 days
very irritating
the player opens in my smaller secondary monitor now and the mouse wont drag it, the windowed/fullscreen toggle starts fullscreen and i can click it, the next tool tip asks if i want to go back to full screen but has no bering on the player itself

*My current work around, is to highlight plex in the taskbar, ALT+Spacebar, select move, then use the arrow keys to slide it into the primary monitor then ALT+Space again to maximize the window.
Pretty fail but it works

Windows+Shift+Left/Right is faster.

Close PMP
open the plexmediaplayer.conf in a text editor
seek for "forceFSScreen": "\\\\.\\DISPLAY1", (the number may differ)
and change it to "forceFSScreen": "",

The same can be achieved by resetting the ‘Force Full Screen’ setting back to ‘Auto’ (only in TV mode).
