I’ve been using Plex Media Player for a long time (Windows 10; I am a Plex Pass member).
I really love Plex Media Player because it allows me to run my Plex with the keyboard on my computer and rarely touch the mouse.
However, the Plex app is more-frequently updated and includes features I’d really like to use – like connection to Live TV & DVR and the ability to skip intros. BUT the Plex app isn’t keyboard friendly (at least not as I hoped it would be), so it’s not a great fit for my usage.
A couple questions, then…
Is the Plex Media Player going to get the quality-of-life upgrades that the Plex app is seeing?
Is there a way to make the Plex app more keyboard-friendly?
My Logitech 890 Remote Control does not control Plex on Windows 10. At this moment, it appears that Plex app does not accept Remote Control… Or is there a different remote control I should consider? Which one?
Seriously? Why do I need a remote if I have a Bluetooth keyboard? That would just be another single purpose device eating batteries and collecting dust.
As this seems the new way, what are remotes people are happy with using on macOS? Not really keen on spending money on a device I do not want or need
Sorry to kick an old thread, but @anon18523487 are you able to clarify a bit–did you mean remote or mouse?
Based on your post I thought I had things completely wrong and downloaded Plex for Windows, but it doesn’t pick up any remote input (as was my understanding). Using a NEEO + MCE Controller, so it’s just feeding keyboard input, but no dice. Wants to be controlled by mouse only.
