Plex Media Player vs Plex .... audio issue

Server and Client computers are all running Windows 10 Pro …

Software up to date as of 10-17-2019:

Plex Server version 4.8.4
Plex Media Player version 3.104.2
Plex version 1.3.1.916-1cb2c34d

Video: 720p (H.264)
Audio: English (EAC3 5.1)

Plex Media Player works great, video & audio great.
Plex does not work great, video great & NO audio at all

Suggestions?

Just use Plex Media Player; it’s not going anywhere anytime soon (after all).

Update: I played more video/audio with my venerable, very good, Plex Media Player and it all continues to work perfectly. Conversely, the new Plex player not only does not play audio, as described, but, additionally, stutters the video, skips video frames and just does a horrible job.

Result: Sticking with my Plex Media Player … perhaps someday they’ll fix the bugs in the new Plex player and I’ll switch over ---- until then I’m not using the new Plex player at all.
