Server Version#: 1.40.0.7775 and 1.32.87621
I’ve been running a Plex Media Server for several years now on a five-year-old gaming rig. I recently migrated everything over to a brand new i9 rig with 4070ti. Since doing so, I have been having nightly ntoskrnl crashes during the maintenance window (2am to 5am) I had setup for Plex. WinDBG analysis of the dmp files identified Plex Media Scanner as the triggering culprit, typically as the result of a page fault.
I have also seen a few bluescreens when updating or adding files to the media library, as I’ve been migrating most videos to HEVC from x264 and older formats to shrink the library size. Since the feature was introduced, I have noticed on both systems that Credits detection ramps up the CPU fan on both the old and new machines, but scanning for Intros does not. I suspect the crashes are caused specifically while scanning for Credits, and I’ve just disabled the feature for now to see if the nightly crash issue goes away.
I’ve attached a couple recent Plex Server logs as well as a couple memory dumps from the last 24 hours for your review. You should also have a few PMS crash logs that were auto-uploaded as well. The nightly crashes have corrupted my 7 Days to Die game server several times now, and I’d really like to find a solution before it corrupts my Windows installation irreparably.
Happy New Year!

EDIT: Added a dump log and some residual files from Credit detection (Plex Temp Files.zip). The thumbnails from last night look ok, but the other two sets are invalid jpeg files. Could this be where things are going sideways?
