What is the depth that PMS scan to?
This is my “Path” depth - /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1/
I use to have an additional level - /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1/ - and it worked fine, but then i added - /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek/Star Trek Picard/Season 1.
Plex then saw the new /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek /Star Trek Picard/Season 1 as the same as /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1/ and joined the episodes.
I use to be able to “Split” the episodes, but this no longer work and the only way around it is to move the series one level “UP” to /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1/ and /store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek Picard/Season 1 respective and now PMS is happy.
What has changed as this has worked fine before, or am i missing something?
/store/data1/TV <<<< this should be the path in your plex tv library
these are the shows in the TV folder that appear in your tv library /store/data1/TV/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1 /store/data1/TV/Star Trek Picard/Season 1
It’s also a good idea to put the (year) after the show name
It is noteworthy to mention all those ‘locations’ were once ‘Libraries’ - before The Big Crunch, recently, I haven’t fully recovered from.
I got used to storing things in certain places, so that, I didn’t change. It’s also handy when you’re re-allocating storage. A smaller or different shaped Tetris Block may fit here, or here, or there…lol
