Plex Media Server 1.32.0.6865 - Manual matching not working

With my one library that has not yet been upgraded, I found when adding new series, it would fail to match anything. I was attempting to match with TheTVDB.com but it would immediately fail if I searched by name, and even if I searched by ID, for example, using “tvdb-427074”, it would also immediately return no results. Checking the console, I would see errors such as:

[Req#56e] Exception caught while attempting to match metadata on item 82934: Error parsing file

On a different computer, running the non-beta server, there was no problem matching the series. I then downgraded to the latest public release of 1.31.3.6868, and all the new series that were previously not matching matched correctly. I didn’t think to test with other libraries or agents before I downgraded.

I would need to see the server logs.

I’ve since downgraded the server to work around the issue, so it won’t be in the latest logs, but I found some of the error messages I was seeing in Plex Media Server.3.log.

Same problem here with stable 1.32.0.6918-6f393eda1.
Downgrade to 1.31.3.6868 and problem is solved.
