I seem to have gotten into a situation where a great number of movies do not have the super nice preview thumbnails. Is there any way to force things to go back and look/rescan for ones that need to be created.
The automatic server maintenance should take care of that, successively.
Starting with the newest items.

You just need to enable them
- in the properties of each library
- under Settings - Server - Library - ‘Generate video preview thumbnails’ = “As a scheduled task”
The analyse feature will kick it in manually if you want to do a few before the scheduled task cleaned up the rest.
Well it should have run last night for sure. It’s set enabled on everything. Set to scheduled+when content is added. yes still some were missing this morning. Time to dig out some tools and query the db maybe. or does it maybe only do a certain amount, then come back day later and do some more, I added alot of RIPed dvd/blue rays yesterday.
It will only do it after all the other maintenance tasks have been finished. So try extending the maintenance period by 1 or 2 hours.
I am set for 1am to 6am which is alot of time. it sure would be nice to see some sort of list/graph/chart of most recent maintenance time lengths! then you would know to increase/decrease as needed.
Analyze sure did the trick, thanks! Not quite what I was thinking but iif it works I’m happy! Trying to test/evaluate a bunch of downloaded files - for if they are ad free and ‘complete’ ie hit the credits!!
