I apologise if this question has been asked before. I am trying to open the Plex Media Server app on my QNAP TS-653B and I receive a message -
Safari can’t open page “192.168.0.42:32400/web” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection
I have updated the Plex app, tried stopping and re-booting the QNAP, have checked the firewall security in Preferences (on my mac) which is fine. I am at a bit of a dead end. It does work over plex.tv but ideally I want it running over my LAN so I am not limited by my ISP speed for watching decent quality movies etc.
I did read somewhere that I should not have my Plex library on the Multimedia folder on my QNAP, but this was after I transferred all the films I have over to it. Would this make a difference?
Any help would be vastly appreciated.
