Plex Media Server - changing location?

In an attempt to free space from my boot SSD drive, I want to re-locate the Plex Media Server folder to a different hard drive. I can find it easily enough in Windows Explorer, but I’m stuck at the previous help suggestion of changing the destination path of this folder in Plex… seems simple enough but I can’t find it… any suggestions?

Pretty easy to do:

  1. Move your files
  2. Go to “Settings” in Plex (crossed wrench and screwdriver in the top right)
  3. On the left, under your server name, click “Libraries”
  4. For each library you moved, click “Edit”
  5. Select the new location of the library
  6. Click save

After this, everything should operate pretty much the same, after Plex re-indexes the files and pretty much just matches them to the existing media it had. You may need to do the Plex Dance if things don’t show up correctly.

Thanks for trying to help, but no. That’s for moving the media files. OP wants to move the folder where Plex stores it’s data. The previous comment pointing to another thread is correct.
