I’ve had issues with PMS crashing daily and only fixed the issue when I went back to version 1.25. I accidentally updated to 1.31.0.6654 and the daily crashes have returned.
I’m on macOS 13.2.1, but the issue was also occurring with macOS 12.

Same thing is happening with me. I’ve adjusted settings rolled back, done everything but problem still persists.
I updated to Version 1.31.1.6733 yesterday and woke up to PMS crashed again. It’s been an issue since 1.25 and getting really annoying.
Hopefully a new version fixes our specific Mac PMS problem soon.
Had the same issue since 1.25 on my M1 Mac Mini and my new M2 Mini crashes as well.
Another update, 1.31.2.6810, and Plex Media Server still crashes daily.
What your hardware please? Example: Mac Mini 2014
Size of your Libraries?
Schedule tasks Interval, default 2 hours? With Credit detection enabled, try doubling the interval to 4 hours and or disabling a library detection for a while. I was having similar issues but extending my Task interval resolved the problem of crashes.
I’m using a 2021 M1 MacBook Pro
My libraries are on 4 external drives that are all 5tb each.
The scheduled tasks are all default.
I’ve tried turning off the auto find intro feature and I still had crashes. I’ve deleted the latest version of PMS and have reinstalled version 1.25 (released January 4th). That seems to be the only fix for now. I’ll download the newest version and try changing the task intervals to see what I get. Thank you!
I’ve tried disabling both those and I still get crashes. I’ll try the task manager and reply back.
My hardware is a 2023 M2 mini 16GB/256GB.
I’ll try increasing the scheduled task duration and see if it helps with the crashes. I had it set to 3 hours. I’ve also now disabled intro and credit detection on all my libraries.
No crashes yet on my Mac since making the changes @SE56 specified. Normally it doesn’t last this long so looking good.
It was good for a while but the crashing has returned.
