Plex Media Server crashes my PC with a blue screen

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: I don’t know I use the web player

Hello, since 2 days, my Plex server crashes my pc when I’m watching an episode of a tv show. (Everything was fine before and I haven’t added anything since)

The blue screen says:

Error code : DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
Failed elements : NETJME.sys

PC config :
CPU : i3 M370 @2.40Ghz
6GB RAM
Windows 10 Insider family edition v.17134.523

And then my PC reboots.

I’m using this PC only for the Plex Server, nothing runs behind it and I use the web player on other devices to watch my shows. It seems the server only crashes when I’m streaming on local devices (I only stream at 720p in local) on remote everything works fine (I stream on 480p). I tried the Android app but it also crashes.

I hope this can be fixed…

Update : now the server crashes as soon I launch an episode (with the same blue screen)

If you need something tell me, it’s the first time I post here I don’t really know how this forum works

I suppose hw issues (or at driver level) on your video card.

The drivers are up to date but it was working on LAN before and it still work on 4G streaming

Sounds like your network card. Check your recently installed Windows Updates. Did Windows install/update the LAN/WLAN adapter?

I will check tonight I’m not at home now

Nope there was no network adapter updates and I checked in the properties, the driver is up to date

When? What is the date of the driver? I only ask because I’m assuming you have a DELL system and they have a built-in driver installer.
An example

The PC is an Asus from around 2009-2010 and there’s no such driver installer.

As you can see on the image, the driver is old but it’s the lastest version.
(I’ve also checked every network thing in the device manager if there was something else but they’re also all up to date.)

Latest from M$. I would see if JMicron Technology has a more recent driver.
We may be chasing our tales here but it’s worth a shot. Start with easy and go from there…

The lastest driver from jmicron is from 2011

Well, that’s most disappointing… Don’t know what other advise other than I have no faith in M$ drivers. If I was in your shoes I would install the driver from JMicron Technology. Can’t hurt I guess. What, maybe a blue screen, lol…

Lol no probs for me I will use internet streaming for the moment I have plenty of 4G to spend
