Server Version#: 1.25.8.5663-e071c3d62
Player Version#:1.35.1

This does not happen every day, but it has happened twice in the past week. I swapped out my WiFi router last week. That’s the only difference I can think of. My old router had

for remote access. The new router made me choose a service name for it, so I have it listed as

remote access has been working fine. It’s just that at night, somehow Plex just stops working and I have to manually open it again when I wake up.

I have 2 PCs running Media Server…Desktop and HTPC. Desktop goes into sleep/Hibernation. HTPC is always up.

Thanks for any insights

I am having the same problem, but I am running Version 1.25.8.5663 on a Windows 10 machine. The Plex Server crashed twice a few days ago. It has nothing to do with my Wi-Fi, my broadband speed or my router. here is a copy of my logs
Plex Media Server Logs_2022-03-30_00-25-45.zip (5.1 MB)

Here are the logs from my HTPC.

The first ones were from Desktop

looks like a known problem:

Try to get a crashdump and provide it to @sa2000

Same happening to me, nightly crash as soon as I turn my LAN off. Look at server the next day and a dialog box informs me Plex has shut down

restarting the computer fixes this issue

Here is the crash dump file from desktop
1.25.9.5673-bf5697c5d.zip (758 Bytes)

Good to know its a known issue and I’m not alone…Hope things get patched up.

I think I’m getting this too, I’ll attach a crash log the next time it happens.

If it helps, it seems to be related to the DVR for me. I have used it all day to play things without crashing, only for it to die in the evening when DVR recording use is heavier.

Crashed again. Here are the Windows crash dump files from my HTPC
1.25.9.5673-bf5697c5d.zip (758 Bytes)

Also crashing on Windows 10… every night, like clockwork.

I’m also experiencing issues with Plex. It crashes but it doesn’t force close. I have to manually close it and kill it in task manager. When I try to access Plex on the server it just says connection error on the windows error information. It crashes sometime during the night.

same here… 3 nights in a row…

Same here on windows 10 and windows Server 2019.
Seems to be the daily server maintenance doesn`t restart PMS it only kills it .
now the 4th night in a row on 3 diferent systems

I just had another crash. Has anyone from PLEX acknowledged this bug yet?

Same, nightly crashes.

Same issue for me here on Windows 11. Plex Media Server is crashing randomly (overnight) and I have to manually relaunch it to get it working again. I have to restart it every day.

been Ok now for 3-4 days…

see my post…

until the new Version 1.26.x+ is available maybe you can temporarily deactivate maintanace Jobs…
