Hello - I am running my PMS on a Windows 11 PC. I never had any issues until the last 2 months or so. Now it seems when I am watching media the server crashes. Right now I am watching Direct Play content and it crashed twice already.
This is definitely server related and not player because this happens regardless or my player.
There are a few threads going on here already about this. This is the one I am actively tracking and a few people seems to have eyes on it and may be able to help debug the issue with having people upload crashlogs and samples.
ive been having the same issue for over a year. Crashes 2/3 times a day,Sometimes it the plex icon will disappear from the system tray and most times its saying 503 error unavailable
Same issues here since v1.25 released. I just rolled back to the last version of v1.24 and it hasn’t crashed yet tonight. https://www.videohelp.com/software/Plex/old-versions
You have to uninstall the current plex server in order to install an older version. Dont worry, you wont lose your settings/library, it will just take some extra processing time to roll the library back to an older version.
@LibTech - I am a little concerned about how you say that you can just uninstall the current version and it will keep all my settings. I am running my PMS on a Synology NAS that has Linux underlay to it. If I remove the app, I am concerned that it may remove the directories associated with it, which includes quite a bit of work of my database of correcting posters and fixing names of things.
Are you saying you’ve done this downgrade with the a NAS setup or on Windows, since this particular area of the forum is for people running their servers on Windows?
