Plex Media Server Crashing Randomly (Every Night Guarenteed)

My plex media server keeps force shutting itself down every single night. I am not sure what keeps causing this issue. I am not sure what I need to do to go about trouble shooting the issue. I have tried re-installing the server and that has not helped. I have looked over the FAQ and reset my TCIP like PLEX suggested and that did not help. I checked to make sure I didnt have any .DLL that were conflicting with PLEX as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated. What I have found is that it usually force closes at night time. By the time I wake up in the morning its usually closed. Thanks again for your help.

So it crashed two times today. Here is the crash text for the first time earlier today. I still cant figure out whats causing it. Both of these times I was watching a movie. It doesnt seem like its a codex or internet problem. Can anyone decipher these logs better than I?

I’m getting a very similar issue but have gotten no help what so ever from any “employee.” I’ve tried older versions, completely wiping out everything and starting fresh. No matter what I do I either can’t get the server to run, can’t access it directly or it will crash constantly. No help or response at all from anyone at plex.

So basically what I did was completely uninstall plex media server then go into %localappdata% and delete the entire plexmediaserver file. Then reinstall plex media server. I had to then re-load my media libraries. Since then which was yesterday my plex server hasnt force closed once. However, it did spend the majority of the day yesterday basically loading metadata from my libraries. I would recommend you try this as I have found no other option that has worked for me.

You might have run into partial database corruption. With the nightly scheduled tasks you were probably hitting it daily causing the crash. (and while using it other times getting to a part of the corrupt database was hit or miss)

I think you might be right. Plex has been going strong ever since I rebuilt the database. Havent had one crash since.
