Also, is there any chance you have Malwarebytes or similar installed? I read that these programs can cause issues, I removed mine. Afterwards, I ran netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt and then reconfigured my static IP address. Seems to be better so far.
Well I’m out of ideas, the developers need to step in and do some serious looking or this could be the downfall of Plex for a lot of users. There are multiple threads on multiple operating systems seeing the same troubles. My best so far was a full day running with a task created to schedule a daily reboot at 5am. Today my server rebooted at 5am and was offline by 6pm, something has to give. Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternate to Plex Media Server? Does anyone think it would be fair to ask for a full refund of Plex Pass ($119) which I purchased 13 months ago since for the last year plus Plex has been less that useful? It was a good run but it seems nobody really wants to step in and solve this problem.
The dmp file you attached here from version v1.15.4.994-107756f7e was for a crash that was fixed in version 1.15.8.1163
See Release Notice
- The server could crash when interacting with a video item with no audio streams (#10007)
(Today’s beta release 1.16.0.1220 fixes more crashes - although they tended to occur on linux)
See Plex Media Server - #267 by emilybersin
Do you run Plex Media Server as a service or scheduled task or in RDP session?
The crashes appear to be when testing out the intel decoder for hardware transcoding
'IntelΠQuick Sync Video H.264 Encoder MFT
and this is known to crash when Plex Media Server is run without a desktop session, ie RDP / Scheduled Task or Service
(Although there were few instances of it crashing when not)
You had crash reporting disabled for most of the time when crashes were occuring

May 17, 2019 16:05:30.401 [7392] WARN - Crash: Crash reporting disabled
You did enable it at 23:42 on May 17, 2019
If you are running as service/RDP/Scheduled task, then you need to choose between that or Hardware Acceleration being enabled in the Plex Media Server Transcoder Settings
If you are not, then suggest you look into the intel drivers for hardware acceleration
Thanks for the reply! From a suggestion I saw elsewhere on the forum I downloaded the Beta a few days ago and I haven’t had an issue since!
Cheers!
yes - that crash was already fixed in 1.15.8.1163
