Plex Media Server Crashing

The updates are in the update folder for PMS if you haven’t deleted them…

I can’t see any logs zip file uploaded anywhere in the numerous posts on this. Could you point me to where you attached a zip of the Plex Media Server logs collected after a crash.

Also look for dmp file within the Crash Reports folders for the version crashing and zip and upload somewhere and send me link privately

I was referring to my posts in this thread

The Crash Uploader file contained three entries repeated over and over
May 15, 2020 16:08:07.390 [7552] DEBUG - HTTP requesting POST https://sentry.io/api/1233455/minidump?sentry_key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
May 15, 2020 16:08:08.134 [7552] DEBUG - HTTP 429 response from POST https://sentry.io/api/1233455/minidump?sentry_key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
May 15, 2020 16:08:08.134 [7552] ERROR - Failed to upload crashdump 030b35d9-114d-4013-a86f-c4bff92afa96: 429

Yes that is the thread i was referring to as having no logs zip attached.

Could you provide a logs zip and not just the failure to upload a dump extract log lines and also locate the dmp files and zip and upload somewhere and send me link privately for where the dmps are as they contain security tokens and should not be linked to in public forum.

I need a matching set - dmp with the logs covering time of crash and with debug logging not disabled.

Can you give me the names of the files and where they’re located?

Thanks

My Plex server just started crashing last night. When I restart the PMS it works for about 30 min and then crashes again. Plex Media Server.zip (905.3 KB)

You know already where the logs are as you have pasted the contents of one of the log files.

the crash dmp files would be in a directory within the “Crash Reports” directory - one for the version that is crashing and below a subfolder named “PLEX MEDIA SERVER”

The “Crash Reports” directory sits along side the “Logs” directory which you have already found

This has already been fixed. See

  • (Intro Detection) A rare crash on old windows hardware

Any way the log you provided is of 1.19.3.2843-e3c1f7bcd which has the fix and the dmp is of 1.19.3.2831

Please in future make sure the logs relating to the crash are provided - best not to be selective and attach the zip of the logs
