Plex Media Server disappeared

Hello - I have 2 servers for my Plex setup and up until recently both have worked great. One of my servers however (running OMV 6 - Plex is running in Portainer) just disappeared from the web interface all together and nothing I have tried seems to be able to bring it back. The server itself seems just fine. Plex is running and the storage volumes are all fine. I’m truly perplexed, but I am but a novice with this OS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Give this a try

(In the container, at the command line, running as ‘root’, with PMS stopped but container running)
– Alternative: the -p /full/path/name/here/Preferences.xml allows the script to run outside a container with the container completely stopped

Hi Chuck. I am actually able to login to Plex successfully from the server URL. This is what is so bizarre…everything appears to be up and running except the server isn’t showing up as a media source (even though I’m logged into it).

Anybody have any other thoughts? I’m still at a loss atm…

Can someone help me fix this? The server is still not showing up in the web interface even though I’m logged in at the server IP. It makes no sense to me…

I have an update but it makes no sense still. Because of the resolve failures in the last error, I just changed from statid IP back to DHCP and voila, the server is showing up now after obtaining a different IP address. Make it make sense…

Until the server is “published”, it won’t show up as a Remote media source (WAN)

With all the local Firewall ports open, LAN clients will be able to discover it.
